Conference

Since 2014 and in partnership with IPLeiria and Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão, LEIRIA SOBRE RODAS has a space dedicated to the promotion of debate on topics related to the automotive world, "New Trends in Technology and Automotive Mobility" "THE AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRY IN PORTUGAL - PAST AND PRESENT", "BACKSTAGE OF RALLY DE PORTUGAL", with the presence of national and international reference speakers.

In 2022 the debate was on Electric Propulsion.
This conference discussed the evolution of propulsion in electric vehicles, the FSIPLeiria Elétric project, developed by IPLeiria students and the presentation of the new 100% electric E-XF model, from the Portuguese brand FAMEL.

In 2023, the topic of electric propulsion was addressed again, in particular, the VOIDSTER (new Formula Student with electric propulsion from the Polytechnic of Leiria).

Formula Student is one of the most prestigious competitions in the world, where several colleges compete on the Formula 1 stages with the aim of designing, developing and building a Formula-type vehicle from scratch. The team counts on students from the Polytechnic of Leiria to build the team's first electric vehicle, the VOIDSTER, and compete in the 2024 edition.
